Reballing is a process where we lift off the defective chip and repair it by put leaded solder on the chip and placing it back on the board or replacing the chip with a new chip also by putting leaded solder on it and placing it back on the board.

Service Terms and Conditions

Warranty

- 90 days (from the date of the invoice) parts and labor warranty for our service

- Physical damage voids all warranty.

- Any damage caused by abuse , such as liquid damage voids all warranty.

- We put special warranty label on the repaired device. The warranty will be void should the label is broken or tempered with.

- We will repair the original problem or issue refund at our discretion during warranty period. The warranty will be extended for 30 day or covered by the original 90 day warranty whichever is longer.

- Warranty service claim must be made before warranty period ends.

Payment

- We accept cash , VISA and MASTERCARD for all walk-in customers

Shipping And Handling

- 30L.E. flat shipping and handling fee for device shipped to any place in egypt

- We do not ship to P.O.Box address.

- We do not do drop shipping.

Miscellaneous

- We are not responsible for any data loss. Customer should back up their data before service. Data backup or recovery is subject to additional service fee.

- Devices, parts and accessories left at our repair facility for more than 90 days are considered abandoned by customer and will be disposed of at our discretion

Our Lab Equipments

Blueplum labs are prepared with highly technical machines and tools to maintain the service quality and customer satisfaction.

We use two different technologies for the BGA Rework services :

1- Hot Air BGA Rework machines which is provided with hot air gun nozzles to cover the bga chips with different sizes and this a picture for our hot air machines at our lab.

2- Infra Red BGA Rework machines which is provided with ceramic plates and heating elements with a uniform temprature controlled by the PLC and this a picture for our Infra red machines at our lab.

what is BGA & WHY TO Rework?

A ball grid array (BGA) is a type of surface-mount packaging used for integrated circuits. BGA packages are used to permanently mount devices such as microprocessors.

Rework (or re-work) is the term for the refinishing operation or repair of an electronic printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) which contains BGA Chips.

Reasons for rework:

1- Insufficient or excessive (cold) solder joints that are created during assembly operations as shown below.

2- Defective devices.

3- Engineering parts changes, upgrades, etc.
